Notes: Crown Royal got its name as a tribute to the Canadian heritage and the royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth to Canada in 1939. To honor this occasion, Samuel Bronfman, the founder of Seagram, created a special blend of whiskey, which was initially intended as a gift for the royal couple. He wanted to produce a whiskey that would embody the quality and craftsmanship of Canadian spirits.
